New Music coming in September

Get the LOW Down

Oliver Low was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a first-generation American to immigrant parents.

“My older sister fed me music that my parents never could have exposed me to. In my early teens, I was just as likely to put on an Alicia Keys or TLC album as I was to listen to Queens of the Stone Age or to camp out for a Foo Fighters concert. I was the weird kid scrounging through CDs on the floor of the local library every week, trying to devour as much music as I could.”

Oliver began writing songs on the guitar at 16, and formed multiple bands throughout high school and college, releasing over forty original songs- with dozens of placements in television shows and commercials globally over the last decade.

At age 30, Oliver took advantage of the isolation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown to feverishly write new, highly-personal material as a solo artist for the first time- guided by producer Alex Dezen.

“On a whim during quarantine, I reached out to Alex Dezen. Alex had been the frontman for The Damnwells- I essentially learned how to write big melodic hooks from listening to his songwriting over and over again in my late teens. I never imagined that I’d be collaborating on a project with someone whose music had such an effect on how I learned to write songs like these in the first place.”

Through this long-distance partnership with Dezen, Oliver was able to tap into what being a minority Midwestern singer-songwriter in 2020 means- there’s just no rules. Pouring his heart into vulnerable lyrics over sweeping melodies, Oliver hopes his messages continue to resonate with a global audience.

Now, Oliver is readying a steady stream of singles that call back to a line of Adult Contemporary mainstays like the Goo Goo Dolls, Andrew McMahon, and Coldplay. Oliver Low’s debut singles (the pandemic-inspired “City Without Lights” and the summer heartache- anthem “All I’ve Ever Known”) were followed by the fiery music video of “21 Days”.

After a yearlong wait, Oliver will be releasing his next single in September 2022.
